HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook - 15-ak029tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all, I have a HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook - 15-ak029tx with a failed hard drive ; the hard drive has been replaced but I need an image of the HP recovery partition.

Does anyone know if HP provides images of the recovery partition available for download?
Have tried windows 7 but none of the provided HP drivers work, not even USB or network, anyone here had any luck with generic drivers?

Note: HP Cloud backup says my product is not eligible despite being built in 2016.

Hi:

HP does not provide recovery partition images for download.

Did the notebook come with W7 from HP?

The specs indicate that it came with W10.

There is a full set of W10 drivers on the support page.

If you want to install W7 on there, you would need to get the drivers from a different model notebook.

Try the HP 15-ay000 model...

If you have difficulty finding any drivers, please let me know which ones you need.

Here is the USB 3 driver that W7 uses...
