HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook - 15-ak000nx (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there

I hope someone could help me in my issue.

I had failed SSD in my gaming laptop 15-ak000nx, then I had it replaced and installed windows 10 but not activated.
Then tried to do recovery to factory reset from the second hard drive in the computer ( this laptop has 2 different drives SSD and HDD) which the recovery is on the HDD drive. but it won't detect that.

I tried to run the recovery from the bios but it just has the option of formatting via windows not HP recovery.

I tried installing the recovery software but when I open the installer it won’t instal on the pc.

Not sure how to get the recovery back and install the original windows and all the software as it is new

I

hope someone could advice how to get the recovery system working.

Hi@abooalboor,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Recovery issues with the HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook

Click on this link for Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04762483

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Click here for the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10) link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you very much.

Thank you very much.

Unfortunately I am not able to find the recovery on the HP cloud recovery and shows me this message to connect HP support. Even on the app it shows me similar message.

I did enter the correct Product ID as from the system informaion: P5M76EA#A2N

Hope we can solve this sooner.

Thank you
