HP stream 11-r14 laptop technical support

• Ok I bought a hp stream laptop it said windows 10 home. My kids would only on it with the Microsoft family account. I mounted a 512GB sd card for extra storage. Well windows said it needed to update. I ran check for updates and when it updated  Well it got slow so tried to reset it but it just said   I ran problems no changes were made so I  connected my direkt-tek 116-2 (2-1) by USB to the HP stream but as soon as connected them my HP shut off & went dead. No power lights no charging lights come on but I plug my phone to the right USB port it shows it charging. This was the 1st I connected them as well. The direkt-tek runs windows 10 Home as well. Also I already check the power cord it's putting out power. But will not turn PC on & no charge light.  What happened and can it be fixed

First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat

AND/OR - Power on your PC, press Esc (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).
