Operating System: Chrome OS

Purchased an HP x360 chrome book for my daughter 10 months ago. 

It randomly goes through spells where it won't turn back on. I've tried three charging cords and the button doesn't light up when it's plugged in. I've taken it to the local computer guy. He takes the back off and works some magic and then puts the back on. The "fix" typically lasts a month, maybe two. Then we are back to black screen. Won't charge or turn on. 

Anyone have any insight?
