Don't know if running the battery all the way down a week ago has anything to do with it, but a week later it won't start at all. Tried everything. Different cord, disconnecting everything and holding power for 30 seconds and on. Finally trucked it to the local computer repair. He plugged it in and OF COURSE it started normally. Did a couple quick tests and said all is good.

Brought back home and now a week later not starting again. No noise, nothing

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I understand that your HP notebook is not powering on after the battery is fully discharged. If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start:  https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-431-notebook-pc/5086745/document/c04718479 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your computer. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Hope this helps!
