@darislewis, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand your HP 15-fd0000 laptop is consistently rebooting without showing a blue screen, and you've already completed troubleshooting steps with HP Support. Let's try a few advanced steps to isolate and resolve the issue.

Check for Automatic Restart Settings

Windows may be set to automatically restart on system failure, even if no blue screen appears.

  • Press Windows + R, type sysdm.cpl, and press Enter.
  • Go to the Advanced tab > click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
  • Uncheck Automatically restart under System failure.
  • Click OK and restart the laptop.

This will help determine if a hidden crash is triggering the reboot.

Review Reliability Monitor

This tool can show hidden errors or patterns.

  • Press Windows + R, type perfmon /rel, and press Enter.
  • Look for red Xs or warnings around the time of the reboot.
  • Click on entries to view details and note any recurring issues.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

Even if you've done diagnostics before, running them from UEFI can catch issues missed in Windows.

  • Shut down the laptop.
  • Power it on and immediately press Esc, then F2 to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  • Run System Tests > Extensive Test (takes 1–2 hours).
  • Note any failures and share the error codes here.

Check Event Viewer Logs

This can reveal system or driver-level issues.

  • Press Windows + X > Event Viewer.
  • Go to Windows Logs > System.
  • Look for Critical or Error events around the reboot time.
  • Common culprits: Kernel-Power (Event ID 41), driver crashes, thermal shutdowns.

BIOS Update (if not already done)

Ensure your BIOS is up to date. An outdated BIOS can cause reboot loops.

  • Visit the Official HP® Support
  • Enter your product: HP 15-fd0000 or use HP Support Assistant.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS version.

Clean Boot to Rule Out Software Conflicts

This disables third-party services and startup items.

  • Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
  • Under Services, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
  • Go to Startup tab > Open Task Manager > Disable all startup items.
  • Restart the laptop and observe behavior.

If the reboot stops, a third-party app or service is likely the cause.

Thermal or Power Issues

If the laptop overheats or has a faulty battery/power adapter, it may reboot without warning.

  • Use HP Battery Check via HP Support Assistant. HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
  • Ensure vents are clean and laptop is on a hard surface.
  • Try using the laptop on battery only or with a different charger.

If Issue Persists

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider:

  • Resetting Windows: Go to Settings > System > Recovery > Reset this PC.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
