Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Received message about digital license expiring soon, but found windows 10 Pro was acivated via a digital license when I checked status.  Now, Windows is no longer acivated.  What's going on?

Your machine came with Windows 7 Home. How do you enter Windows 10 Pro key ? Please check with Microsoft, they know what they are doing.

So, Microsoft wants to know my Product Key.  My laptop was a gift 10 years ago, from my (now) late wife, and I cannot find original paperwork about it.  The Product Key on the sticker on the bottom of the computer is illegible, but there are bar codes/numbers I can read.  Could HP tell me my Product Key from those bar codes/numbers?
