- I have this laptop since 2016. The problem started on Aug 8 and was a hard disk error. I wanted to play with a friend online using Radmin VPN, but there were some problems and I had to disable the antivirus (Eset Smart Security 11) for a while. After I wanted to turn it back on, the laptop freezes and shows an error with a sad face. From that moment on, the laptop starts up for all eternity. I went into safe mode to diagnose errors. Gave a hard disk error. Here is the error code: MFKS3G-84XA6W-XD7WMG-60R803. Note: there were no viruses on the laptop, I have not installed anything in the last two weeks. Unless he did a system rollback, because he crookedly removed Radmin VPN. This was before this problem. I have installed this program twice.

You're very welcome.
The only suggestion I can offer is after you remove the hard drive, buy a USB to SATA notebook hard drive cable.
Plug one end into the bad drive, and the other end into a working PC, and see if you can read/copy the files from the bad drive onto the PC.
Something like this...
As far as why the hard drive failed...it is hard to determine.
There is an old saying...It isn't a matter of if a hard drive will fail, but a matter of when.
Usually heat is the most likely cause of the failure. Heat buildup in such a small space.

Hi:
The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure, means the hard drive has failed and you need to install a new one.
You will also have to reinstall Windows 8.1 after you replace the hard drive.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

Hello! Thanks for the answer. Can you tell me if I have a chance to recover some files from the disk? There were some documents and photographs. And one more thing: please tell me, what could be the reason for the failure of the hard disk?
