Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was working on some programs on my laptop and that kept closing for no reason. I restarted my laptop and it put me to the HP PC Hardware Diagnostic UEFI 

Performed memory test: Good Performed Hard drive check: Failed with ID # 6C7WKD-8HMASD-GXGK6K-61AGO3 Product ID# W2K45UA#ABA

Sadly to say: Most of the time the 24 char disk failure id indicates the HDD is failing and it needs to be replaced.. Is it still under warranty ? If NOT, you have to replace yourself then rebuild your machine.

I was hoping that wasn't the case but how much would it cost to swap out hard drive? 

Warranty ended in 2018

There might be an option in BIOS to test and repair the hard disk which would give you the option of backing up your data before you replace the device/hard drive
