HP Recommended

Some HP BIOSes have a facility to Secure Erase the hard disk / SSD in the BIOS settings screens. If your BIOS has this option, look for an option called something like 'Hard Drive Utilities'.

 

If there is no such feature in the BIOS, there are various 'drive wipe' utilities available in USB boot form. The best option is one that will issue a Secure Erase command to the drive if the drive supports Secure Erase. I don't have any recommendations for such a utility.
