Hard Drive SMART Check FAILED - FAILURE ID GLXF84-881A3N-MFPX6J-609A03

I am trying to see what's wrong with my laptop computer so I can see what it will cost to fix it. I know it is out of warranty. I cannot find anything about this Failure ID number (GLXF84-881A3N-MFPX6J-609A03). My laptop model is a 15-au063nr [edit] . If someone could help me identify what needs to be replaced that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi:

The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 SMART Hard Drive Detects Imminent Failure, means the hard drive is about to fail, or has failed, needs to be replaced, and the operating system reinstalled.

If you can still get into Windows, back up any files you want to save onto a portable hard drive.

After you replace the drive, you can with another working Windows PC and a 32 GB USB flash drive, make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC, using the HP Cloud recovery tool.
