Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Greetings of the day Saviour...!!!

I am using a HP Laptop, Model- , from yesterday the laptop is not starting Model- 13-s192nr, the screen is showing message "Hard Drive Short DST Check : Failed".

 I have read different articles suggesting to replace the Hard Drive, but want to know if any other solution is available....

Also for my information, would like to know what is the cause of this issue, is it because of any corrupt software or corrupt OS and how can I recover my data.

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. Attaching screen shots for your reference.

Thanks in Advance....

@HBK877

Since you already know you need to replace the drive, let's talk about data recovery ...

Presuming the drive is still working, Insert a USB stick into the PC that is large enough to hold all the files and folders you want to recover.   All you will be able to copy is personal data files.  You will not be able to save settings or applications.

Use Windows Filemanager to copy the files and folders you want to save.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your support and solution.... But is there any other way/method to solve this problem.

We also need to know the cause of this problem, can this happen due to corrupt OS (Windows 10) which is unable to boot...???
