Hard disc issue couldn't boot the notebook

Hi All, I am facing error starting -  hard disk (3F0) error, boot device not found, further tried to reset the windows 10 os. However showing error code - 0xc000000f.  Screenshots attached. Can anyone please advise the solution.

Hi,

Usually, this indicates that the Hard Drive has failed and need to be replaced.

First, try performing HP hardware diagnostics at boot and see if it gives any hardware errors.

Turn off the PC by holding the power button. Turn on PC and continuously and repeatedly keep pressing ESC until startup menu appears and then press F2 to enter diagnostics. Try the fast test, or at least the hard drive test.

See if there are any hardware errors.

Thanks for the quick support.

As you suggested, I did hard drive quick test and it showing results - No hard drive installed. Please check that the power and data cables are connected properly.

You're welcome.

It usually means that the Hard Drive has failed and is no longer being seen by the system.

You will need to replace the drive, This would also be a great moment to upgrade the notebook. It supports and M2 PCIe NVMe SSD such as the "best" Samsung 970Evo Plus or slower and cheaper Crucial P1. These will be much faster then the drive you have and will give a great boost to the performance of the PC. You can get of your desired capacity.

You could also replace the Hard Drive you have at the moment which is an SSHD with a similar one.

On page 40 of service manual you can see the steps to replace/remove the Hard Drive.

You will then need to reinstall the OS on the Drive which you can do by performing a clean install

I would also add another 4GB or more memory module in the empty slot for a total of 8GB (max for the notebook is 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz)
