Product: 2012 Pavilion g6

My notebook has been stuck on a black screen for "automatic repair" I have tried the hard restart with no luck. I then did the start up test and the hard disk short DST failed.

Hi:

 

The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure, means the hard drive needs to be replaced and the operating system reinstalled.

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
