Hi:
You would have to contact HP support in Australia to see if they sell W10 recovery media for your PC.
Step 1. Open this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
Step 2. Enter Product number
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
You can get your notebook operational again for free by creating a bootable W10 USB installer using the Media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Thanks for the reply.
It should NOT be this hard.
1. Buy a HP Laptop. This includes the windows 10 operating system that companies NO LONGER provide CDs for and are built in to the Hard Drive
2. The hard drive fails and is replaced.
3. There should be a site where the windows 10 image can be downloaded from so that I can FIX MY NEW HARD drive without having to pay for windows 10 again!!!
How hard can this be HP ???

You're very welcome.
You can always clean install W10 for free by making a bootable USB W10 installation flash drive using the media creation tool from the link below.
That way you can at least use your notebook.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Thank you for the reply.
The Hp Laptop has NO windows 10 serial number on it. I think it is a Home version of win 10
They used to on a label under the PC but not this one.
I paid for this windows 10 when i purchased the laptop.
Where do i get the serial to activate it?
That's the problem when no CD's are provided with the laptops nowadays.
thanks again in advance

You're very welcome.
Ever since W8 came out, Microsoft requires all PC manufacturers to put the OEM product keys in the BIOS.
You don't need to have or know the product key in order to reinstall Windows as long as you select the right version if you are presented with the list of versions during the installation process.
Your PC came with W10 Home 64 nit.

On your model, W10 should automatically pick up the product key during the installation process, install and automatically activate.
