When I was installing windows 10 and I want to make partitions of my hard drive.

Windows setup screen shows where do you want to install Windows? But it does not show any partition and shows an error at the bottom (WE COULDN'T FIND ANY DRIVES.  TO GET A STORAGE DRIVER,  CLICK LOAD DRIVER). i tried using command prompt to check if my hard drive shows online (dispart)  but it shows status of disk0 as invalid and disk1 is my bootable

pendrive.

Please anyone give me solution for this problem.

@Udit_arora Welcome to HP Forums Community!

If you have a new laptop, you've never installed windows & your system is running with free dos than you'll need to ensure the drive is changed to NTFS format.

1. Choose custom installation.
2. Press shift+F10 (DOS windows will appear).
Now type
3. Disk part [Press Enter]
4. List disk [Press Enter] (You should see only Disk 0).
5. Sel disk 0 [Press enter]
6. Clean [Press enter]

Close the dos windows & click refresh.
Now you can create partitions and install windows.
