Example: Hp Envy Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was trying to reboot and clean because the system is going extremely slow but I ran a system check and got the error, also tried to do the recovery management tool and it finished but incomplete and now I can't get the screen off of the recovery screen after it boots back up, so many underlying issues. Can someone please assist, thinking I need a new hdd but I'm hoping I can at least use the notebook for the time being until I can get another hdd.

@TeeWebb

This error means the drive is failing and needs to be replaced.  It could last for weeks -- but it could fail completely tomorrow.  There is no way to predict this.  The more you use it, the worse the chance you have of recovering anything from it when it fails completely.

So, if you are going to continue to use it, then at least back of the personal files you can not afford to lose to a USB stick.
