my laptop has 669mb of hardware reserved memory, is there any way to lower that.

Please tell me the full product name and product number (p/n) of your notebook. You will find this information on the back of your notebook printed in small letters.

I updated the bios with the one that you send me and rebooted the system but it is still showing hardware reserved memory 669mb

This is absolutely normal memory behavior. The more programs are installed and possibly also run automatically when Windows starts, the less memory is available. In addition, Windows itself also needs memory!

 

You can optimize the memory.
