Hi guys,

I would like to buy an HP business laptop. I have found an HP EliteBook 8 G1i with this code: "AD2Y9ET#ABZ". Is it possible to know if it has a smart card reader (a very important component but optional for this version)? Gemini says that it has and ChatGPT that it hasn't got. Is there an official HP website to type this code and know everything about it?

Hi @lengoyeko 

 

This is an optional feature. HP will include it only if the seller requests it, but generally, no seller does so. Please check with the seller.  The only way to know for sure is to have the serial number, but the seller won't give you that information, which is written on the bottom of the laptop.
