Hi @Dacot_2415,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP laptop is having BIOS issues and still doesn't boot properly after following the recommended procedures, here are a few steps you can try.
Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
- Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try turning it on.
Access BIOS Setup:
- Power on the laptop and immediately start pressing the BIOS access key (usually F10, F2, or Esc) until the BIOS menu appears.
- Check if there are any settings that might need adjusting (like boot order).
Reset BIOS to Default:
- If you can access the BIOS, look for an option to reset to default settings. This can sometimes resolve boot issues.
Update BIOS:
- If possible, check the HP support website for your laptop model to see if there’s a newer BIOS version available. Follow the instructions carefully to update it.
Boot from USB Drive:
- Create a bootable USB drive with Windows installation media or a diagnostic tool. Boot from the USB to see if you can access recovery options.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
