Welcome to HP Support Community, @123Nikolay123

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ScanJet Pro 2000 s2 is being detected as "FUSB300" in Device Manager and it won't start, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Check Cable Connections
Ensure Proper Connections: Make sure that the USB and power cables are securely connected to the scanner. Use the cable that was included with the scanner, as another USB cable might not be compatible.

Step 2: Power Check
Check Power LED: Ensure that the power LED on the scanner is on. If it is not, verify that the power outlet or surge protector is functional.
Unplug and Reconnect: Disconnect the power cable from the source, wait for 30 seconds, and reconnect it.

Step 3: Reinstall Drivers
Uninstall Drivers: On your computer, open the Control Panel.
Programs and Features: Use the "Add/Remove Programs" tool (or "Programs and Features" in recent Windows versions) to uninstall the following applications:
HP Scanjet 2000 s2
HP Easy Scan
Restart Computer: After uninstallation, restart your computer.
Reinstall Drivers: Use the HP scanning software CD that came with your scanner to reinstall the HP ScanJet drivers and tools.

Step 4: Update Device Driver in Device Manager
Device Manager: Open Device Manager on your computer.
Update Driver: Locate the device labeled as "FUSB300," right-click on it, and select "Update driver."
Search Automatically: Choose the option to search for updated driver software automatically.

Step 5: Download Latest Software
Visit HP Support Site: Go to HP's official support site and search for software and drivers for the "HP ScanJet Pro 2000 s2."
Download Updates: Download and install any available updates for your scanner model.

Step 6: Check for External Factors
USB Ports: Try connecting the scanner to a different USB port on your computer.
Computer Restart: Sometimes a simple computer restart can help in recognizing the device correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
