Envy laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The screen is stuck on the BIOS update, still on 0% progress for 20 minutes now. This happened after I tried to download a driver for my old printer, and the laptop asked me to restart it. Shall I unplug and turn off?

There's no simple answer to your question.  BIOS updates should take only a few minutes and you should see clear indication of it progressing.  If you turn off the PC before it is done, you risk corrupting the BIOS and that will render it useless.  You really have no option other than to wait and hope it finishes.

This is why I ALWAYS use the BIOS update utility on my PC to create a bootable USB stick with the current BIOS on it -- that I can then use to restore it to working condition, should the BIOS update fail -- as I have had happen more than once.
