Hi
I have this old laptop which has hardly been used since i had it and i gave it to my elderly mum. My current laptop has now got problems so i wanted to use this old one instead, which is nearly new as far as useage. When i gave it to her i set it up for her and now i cant remember the password i used and it has no option to reset password. She has lost the paper with the instructions on it that i gave her. this is all i have on the screen. The McAffee sofware where it says skip password and it does face recognition isnt working either, it doesnt load. Not sure if its 32 bit or 64 bit as i cant get into it to find out.
Does anyone know how i can get into it please?

@londonsandy If you cannot remember your password or need to change it, refer to the following options.
HP recommends using a Microsoft account for signing into Windows. Using a Microsoft account offers many benefits, including easy password recovery. If you currently have a local user account, consider switching to a Microsoft account after recovering or changing your current password. Go to Managing User Accounts and Logins (Windows 10) for more information.
NOTE:If you cannot sign in with your original password, make sure caps lock is not on and the keyboard layout matches your country/region. If available, use other methods to sign in, such as a password hint, PIN, or a picture password.
