Hi, I reset my laptop a while ago and lost virtually everything. I want to recover my factory settings including things like Microsoft Office Professional (all gone). I tried to use hp Recovery Manager but that.s gone as well. Help!

@DamoD

Unfortunately, "reset" is a vague term and can mean several different things, ranging from a simple "refresh" that reinstalls Win10 and any preinstalled apps, to a "factory reset" which reformats the internal drive, basically removing everything.

It sounds like you did the second -- and if so, that is how it is supposed to work.

So, what state is it in now, is it working? Or is it in some corrupted state such that you can't use it?

Thanks for your help but in the interim I discovered that I could reload factory settings by rebooting my laptop and the company I purchased my laptop from were able to provide me with a cd to sort out MS Office.
