Hi guys, I tried to clean install Linux on my HP elietbook laptop and even though the installation went ok, now I cannot boot to the OS and when I run memory check it gave me this failure ID: 9BWF3Q-850BRB-MFGK7G-000W03

Can someone confirm what this failure ID actually is please?

My suspicion is faulty RAM. Can someone confirm or suggest different reason for the failure?

I used the link and the only thing it told me is following: HP {{formatDiagnosticName}} has identified a critical failure in your system that requires repair.

HP EliteBook 840 G2 Base Model Notebook PC

Mut no further info or an indication of what has gone wrong in particular.

Maybe I am reading the info wrong but there is no additional info about the pain point of the system.

Any idea please?

There may be a problem with the website, but you probably need to replace the memory module.

The whole HP support site isn't working right now (at least it isn't for me), so here is the link to the service manual where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.

The max memory is 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.

This should be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook:
