HP Notebook - 15-da0053wm

I accidentally put my computer in hibernation mode and now it won’t turn back on. How do I get it to turn back on?

We are a Peer-to-Peer Forum for people who use HP Technology.

Your computer not turning back on could be due to a minor system error or the power button not responding properly. Here are two possible solutions:

  1. Force Restart
    • Hold the power button down for about 15-20 seconds and then release it. This should force your computer to shut down.
    • Wait a few seconds and then press the power button again to turn your computer back on.
  2. Unplug and Plug Back the Power Source
    • If you're using a laptop, unplug the power cord and remove the battery (if it's removable).
    • Hold the power button for about 15 seconds. This will drain any residual power in the system.
    • Reinsert the battery (if you removed it), plug the power cord back in, and press the power button to see if your computer turns on.
