Recently I tried to turn my computer on and, as soon as it started up, a very high-pitched morse code type sound starts up. As soon as the sound starts, it's like my computer freezes but I'm still able to move the mouse. When it freezes, I cannot click on or type anything at all.
Am I able to attempt to correct this myself or is it a more serious issue?
The very last time I used my computer I had no issues at all. This just happened all of a sudden.

Hi @WhiskeyRose
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the freezing issue.
Let's try these steps to perform a power reset on the computer -
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.
3) Remove the Battery.
Note - This step is not applicable for an in-built battery.
4) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.
5) Plug-in the Adapter and put the Battery back into the computer.
6) Try to turn on the computer.
Also, try testing the hardware -
1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
4. Click Extensive Test.
If the hardware is fine, try updating the computer -
Step 1 Windows Updates -
1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -
1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
