HP Laptop - 15s-eq0507na
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi

I recently had network issues on my laptop which I tried several ways to resolve, one of which was a reset of my windows 11.

I eventually sorted the network issue with a new card but I cannot get windows to activate.

I've tried to find my License key through running CMD as administrator and using "wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey" which returns an error. I've also used powershell that does also returns an error.

I have also tried the backup key in windows registry but it doesn't work.

I no longer have the packaging for this laptop as it is 4 years old.

Has anyone any ideas. I don't really want to pay for HP tech support for what should be an easy find in the records.

Hi:

The product specs for your notebook indicate that came with Windows from HP, so the product key should be encrypted in the BIOS.

Download and run the free Showkey plus app from the Microsoft Store.

It should provide a report of the OEM Windows product key and the version of W10 the key is good for.
