HP ENVY - 15t-as100 CTO

HI

I recently had my 6yr old  Envy 15T repaired due to formatted drives and a HP (directly purchased USB Flash Drive) that was no good. Unfortunately I formatted my entire system which resulted in a costly repair. The tech informed me that the OEM Recovery Flash Drive from HP was  corrupted and couldn't be used to recover my system. This resulted in a non factory version of Windows10 being installed on my system.

This doesn't include HP Divers, Software, or other HP Programs/Utilities. I scanned my system for available drivers using my system support page. Drivers are available for the system. My question is how do I install all the drivers. do I install all that are shown available or just the most recent version of the driver, There are a lot as shown. I've never had to recover my system in the 6yrs I've had it as for the drivers and such all of those were always automatedly updated via HP. I need to know how to proceed before I do anything myself, as I don't want anymore repairs. I'm trying to hold off on a new system until Windows 10 support ends in 2 yrs. any help will be greatly appreciated.

TIA!

Hi @Blondie0862,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To install HP system drivers on a computer with a non-factory installed Windows 10, you can follow these steps.

  • Identify your computer model: Visit the HP Support website and locate the support page for your specific HP computer model. You can usually find the model information on a sticker on the back or bottom of your computer.
  • Download drivers: On the HP Support website, navigate to the drivers and software section for your computer model. Enter your computer model or select it from a list, then choose the operating system as Windows 10 (if available). Locate the drivers you need, such as chipset, graphics, network, audio, and others. Download the latest versions of these drivers to your computer.
  • Install drivers: Once the drivers are downloaded, locate the files and double-click on each driver file to begin the installation. Follow the on-screen instructions provided by the driver installation wizard. Repeat this process for all the downloaded drivers.
  • Restart your computer: After installing all the drivers, it's recommended to restart your computer. This allows the changes to take effect and ensures proper driver functionality.
  • Update drivers: After the initial installation, it's a good idea to check for any available driver updates. Visit the HP Support website periodically to see if there are newer versions of the drivers for your computer model. Updated drivers may provide improved performance, bug fixes, and compatibility enhancements.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
