Hi @Artty29,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To access the advanced options on your HP 15.6 Inch Laptop PC 15, you can follow these steps.
Accessing Advanced Startup Options:
From Settings:
- Click on the Start menu and select Settings.
- Go to Update & Security.
- Click on Recovery in the left pane.
- Under Advanced startup, click Restart now. Your computer will restart and display the Advanced Startup Options menu.
Using the Shift Key:
- Hold down the Shift key and click on the Start menu.
- Select Restart while holding down the Shift key.
- Your computer will restart and display the Advanced Startup Options menu.
Navigating the Advanced Startup Options Menu:
- Once in the Advanced Startup Options menu, you can select various options, including:
- Continue: Exit and continue to Windows 10.
- Troubleshoot: Access advanced troubleshooting and recovery options.
- Turn off your PC: Power down your laptop.
Using the Troubleshoot Menu:
- If you select Troubleshoot, you'll find additional options such as:
- Reset this PC: Reinstall Windows while keeping or removing your files.
- Advanced options: Access system restore, system image recovery, startup repair, command prompt, startup settings, and UEFI firmware settings.
Accessing UEFI Firmware Settings:
- To access the BIOS/UEFI firmware settings:
- In the Advanced options menu, select UEFI Firmware Settings.
- Click Restart. Your computer will restart and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
Accessing BIOS/UEFI at Startup:
- You can also enter the BIOS/UEFI settings by pressing a specific key during the boot process:
- Turn off your laptop.
- Turn it back on and immediately start pressing the Esc key (or F10 key, depending on your model) repeatedly until the BIOS/UEFI menu appears.
By following these steps, you should be able to access the advanced options and BIOS/UEFI settings on your HP 15.6 Inch Laptop PC 15.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
