Greetings,
As mentioned in the title, my HP Pavilion 15 suffered a BIOS corruption. This was confirmed due to a blank screen when turned on and a specific pattern of blinking lights in the CAPS Lock button. HP provided excellent support and sent me a replace unit. However, I'm trying to figure out how to recover the data from the faulty unit before I send it back to them. Is there any such way to do this? Most solutions require that the computer be booted in some way, but this is not my case.

Hello @Joeyyugioh
If the computer does not start at all (not talking about Windows but the PC itself), the only option to get the data out is to open the PC and get the hard disk drive (HDD) out
Once this happens, you will need a cable/connector like this [USB SATA connector for 2.5 inch SATA HDD] :
One side connect to the HDD, the other to another computer and the new computer will (should) be able to detect the HDD. You will be able to browse your files and copy them.
* These cables are available online like Amazon or in computer tech stores
* Here is how to open your PC and "extract" the hard disk drive > page 49/57 > http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03939658
Hope this helps.

What you posted has nothing to do with what @Joeyyugioh described. BIOS and BSOD are completely different things.

@IT_WinSec
Thank you! I didn't know that was an option. I have purchased one of these cables and I'll let you know how the recovery attempt goes.
Edit: Also, I was wondering, if the hard drive is indeed corrupt would this affect the integrity of my new computer's hard drive or is the new computer just not going to read it? Thanks in advance!

You are welcome @Joeyyugioh
If the HDD is corrupt, the new one will not access or read it. The new HDD will not be affected in any way. Don't worry, these kind of issues are not "infecable". It will not be able to just real or access it. 🙂
