The phone number on my account can no longer receive security code text messages. I need to change to a different number.

Hi @Rball2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To change the phone number associated with your HP account, follow these steps.

Go to the HP Account Page:

Sign In:

  • Log in to your HP account using your email address and password.
  • If your current phone number is still required for a two-step verification but you cannot receive the code, look for an option to verify using your email address or security questions instead.

Access Account Settings:

  • Once signed in, navigate to the Profile or Account Information section.

Update Phone Number:

  • Find the section for contact information or security settings.
  • Edit the phone number and replace it with your new one.

Save Changes:

  • Confirm the change and follow any prompts to verify the new phone number (you may receive a code on the new number to complete the process).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
