HP Notebook - 14-cf0008ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to put Linux on my system but the problem is that I can't disable RST. The option seems to be hidden. Is there any way to do this? I've tried doing F10 + A which didn't work.

The option I'm trying to modify is the SATA config from RST to AHCI.

Hi@Afastaudir8,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are looking to disable RST on the HP Notebook.

I have a few recommendations

  1. Select Device Manager.
  2. Find and expand the Disk drives catalog.
  3. Right-click Intel® Rapid Storage Technology and choose Uninstall device..
  4. Enter BIOS. Under the System Configuration options, select disable Intel Rapid Start and press Enter.

If issue still persists then I would request you to reach out to our HP Smart Friend Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. As we have limited support boundaries towards Linux in the support community as of now. HP Smart Friend Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
