Hi @Randy206 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To find and download the correct BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) for your HP ENVY dv7-7333cl Notebook PC, follow these steps:
Visit HP's Official Website: Go to the official HP support website. You can access it by going to HP Support.
Enter Product Details:
- Enter your laptop's model number, in the search box.
- Select your laptop model from the list that appears.
Go to Drivers and Downloads:
- Look for a section on the website related to drivers and downloads.
- Find the BIOS or Firmware section. It might be listed under "BIOS," "Firmware," or "System BIOS."
Download the Appropriate BIOS Update:
- Locate the latest BIOS update for your laptop model.
- Download the BIOS update file. It is typically a downloadable executable file (.exe).
Create a Bootable USB Drive:
- After downloading the BIOS update file, you may need to create a bootable USB drive to install the BIOS update.
- You can use a tool like Rufus or the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool to create a bootable USB drive.
Copy the BIOS Update to the USB Drive:
- Once the USB drive is ready, copy the downloaded BIOS update file to the root directory of the USB drive.
Backup Important Data:
- Before updating the BIOS, it's essential to back up your important data, as updating the BIOS carries some risk.
Perform the BIOS Update:
- Ensure that your laptop is connected to a power source.
- Insert the USB drive into a USB port on your laptop.
- Restart your laptop and access the BIOS/UEFI settings. You can usually do this by pressing a specific key during the boot process (common keys include Esc, F1, F2, or Del).
- In the BIOS/UEFI settings, look for an option to update or flash the BIOS.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the BIOS update process.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
