Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to locate the serial number of my new Pavillion laptop - which evidently is written in MICRO-font on the under side of the machine, but completely unreadable to my 73-year old eyes. I've tried "magnify" on my iPhone 13, but I still can't read it. Is there a way to get the serial number perhaps via "Settings" on the computer itself?

You can find devices serial number in the BIOS, to access BIOS you will need to press F10 after power ON.

Hi:

Yes, there is a way to get the serial number without trying to read it on the PC's case.

Click on the search icon on the Windows taskbar

Type Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.

Type wmic bios get serialnumber and press the Enter key.

You’ll see the computer’s serial number displayed beneath the text “SerialNumber”.

This command uses the Windows Management Instrumentation Command-line (WMIC) tool to access the system’s serial number from your notebook's BIOS.
