My laptop it is very slow and every five minutes a massage pops up telling me to back up my stuff and print instructions

Hi:

 

You will need to 'back up your stuff,' replace the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

 

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

After you replace the drive, make a bootable recovery drive using another Windows PC and a 32 GB USB flash drive using the HP cloud recovery tool.
