I purchased 2/2022 and it’s now out of warranty - hard drive failed this past week and I’ve got a new hard drive but just need to figure out how to get the Windows s/n for my laptop. Anyone know the best path for this? Thanks!!

HP Recommended

If the notebook came with W11 from HP, then there is a Windows product key encrypted in the BIOS.

 

You don't need the W11 product key to reinstall Windows.
