Hello,
I have a Probook 450 G2, whose HDD had just crashed.
I did buy a new SSD, and now I need a recovery media.
Where can I get it from ?
Many thanks in advance
Danny

I think even if you order the recovery media from HP, MS Office wouldn't be included.
If you have the product key, you may be able to reinstall office from Microsoft at the link below.
But normally it has to be a retail product key. The older versions of office can be downloaded toward the bottom of the page.

Hi, Danny:
You can clean install W10 for free at any time by using the media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
The tool will give you the option of making a bootable W10 USB installation flash drive, or save an ISO file which you can burn to a DVD using your DVD burning program's burn ISO image option.
The software will work with the W10 product key in your notebook's BIOS, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
Then you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page...
Otherwise, the only way to order recovery media is to contact HP by telephone.
In the USA/Canada, call 1-800-334-5144.
Have the serial number of the notebook handy to give to the customer services rep.

I do not have any key, as far as I remember.
Actually this is a friend's laptop and she said that the laptop came with nothing else, and that both Windows AND Office came pre-installed.
However I will ask her to re-check

I don't think the key to a preinstalled office program will work on the MS download site.
But if she has it, you have nothing to lose by trying it.
If no key and or it doesn't work, she's going to have to do without.
