Hi @scozzie,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To remove a Power-On Password from an HP Pavilion Gaming 15 laptop, you'll need to follow these steps.

Enter the BIOS Setup:

  1. Power off the laptop.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately press the F10 key repeatedly until the BIOS setup utility opens.

Navigate to the Security Settings:

  1. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Security" tab.
  2. Look for an option called "Set Password" or "Power-On Password".

Remove the Password:

  1. Select the "Set Password" or "Change Password" option.
  2. When prompted for the current password, enter the existing password (if you don't know it, you'll need to follow the steps for resetting or clearing the BIOS password).
  3. Leave the new password fields blank to remove the password and confirm your choice.

Save and Exit:

  1. Go to the "File" menu.
  2. Select "Save Changes and Exit" (often accessed by pressing F10).
  3. Confirm your changes and exit the BIOS.

Note: Always back up important data before making significant changes to BIOS settings or hardware.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
