HP pavilion x2 10-n111nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just got the pavilion x2 10-n111nd second hand (because I wasn't sure if these types of machines are beneficial to me).

The guy that sold it, when clearing it of his data, must have accidently reinstalled the wrong windows instalation.

This machine has a atom x5 8300 with 2gb of ram, and oringinaly came with 32 bit windows 10.

But now it has 64 bit and the machine is slower and a lot of space is being used.

I've tried installing a 32 bit iso, but it doesn't work. I don't understand why, it seems UEFI is blocking the usb from installing.

Does anyone know how I'm able to get a 32 bit instalation on it?

The machine has InsydeH2O as bios, you can select to stop using EUFI, but you can't select to use legacy.

No, it originally came with  Windows 10 Home 64 bit as shown:

In general  with Intel® Atom™ Z8300 with Intel® HD Graphics (1.44 GHz, 2 MB cache, 4 cores) and only 2 GB DDR3L SDRAM (onboard) it can't do much.

You can't upgrade CPU, you can't upgrade RAM, you can't upgrade 32 GB eMMC. What are you going to do with it ? Did you do some research before buying this machine ?

If you wish to istall 32 bit and hope it would run quicker please start from fresh using the following Windows 10 ISO file and select 32 bit when install

Thank you for the quick reply.

You are right, it does come with 64bit, I probably made that mistake because prior to looking at this type of machine, I was looking at others, therefor I got confused.

I did do research, and this machine is fully capable to do what I want it to do.

I believe running 32 bit might improve the machine's performance, since 64 bit demans a little more of the hardware.

However, I tried every option to boot from a usb drive, but the bios won't let me.

Maybe updating the bios helps, and HP offers a bios update (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-10-x2-PC/8499312/model/10065769) Since mine is still using version F.06 from 2015 and the latest is F.18 from 2018.

I'm just afraid that updating the bios breaks the machine.
