OK, that makes sense as to why you are getting the error.
1. You didn't get a complete download of the ISO file. It should be 3.xx GB so make sure that was the file size you got.
2. If you have the right file size of 3.xx GB then the burn was no good.
You need to burn the ISO file at the slowest possible speed that your DVD burning program allows.
I have only used that utility to create a bootable USB flash drive, so I don't know what options it gives you when you burn a DVD.
If you get no burn speed options, install this free DVD burning program, select the Burn ISO file option, and then you will be able to select the burn speed from the menu. Select 1x if you can.

Try downloading the image again. Look at the advertised file size and make sure you get the entire file.
It happens occasionally that even though it reports download complete, you get an incomplete file.
There are no special drivers required for your notebook.

I went back and downloaded the retail version this time and put the image on USB flash and right now it is still installing. It didn't ask for any drivers so far and the installation is about halfway through. Will post again after this completes. Thank you so much!! Hoping it will do it this time.

You're very welcome.
You can get the drivers and available software you need for your PC at the link below...
You will probably also need the AMD SMbus controller driver, which I have zipped up and attached below.
To install the smbus controller driver, download and unzip the file I attached to its folder.
Don't do anything with the files in the folder.
Go to the device manager, click on the smbus controller. Click on the driver tab.
Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.

The installation failed a little more than halfway through. I tried several times and sometimes it asks for the drivers and sometimes not. One time it got all the way through to the point where it said it was time to restart my computer and then when it tried to, the computer would not start. It kept getting error messages. If I order those recovery disks, will they take care of everything including the drivers restoring my computer back to original factory installation?
