How do I recover a lost Windows 8 license key?
I bought an HP notebook from the store in 2012 with my licensed Windows8 installed. The operating system is not booting right now. I want to start the operating system from a bootable flash drive. The product key sticker has been lost. Only part with a halogram is left. How can I recover a key?

Product keys were no longer printed on stickers starting with Windows 8; instead, they were encrypted into the firmware of the system board.
You can use this utility to retrieve that information: ShowKeyPlus - Windows 10 Forums
