Product: HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-cd1xxx

OS: Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit

How do I recover my Windows Activation Key? The laptop now asks for the Activation key - not sure what event caused this. I do not have the original packaging or documentation. Can I get the key from HP? The laptop is still under warranty?

Hello

you have a Windows 10 Home license with you consumer notebook Pavilion.

if you install Windows 10 Enterprise , you need an enterprise license.

so to avoid license request, you have to reinstall windows 10 Home.

Windows 10 Home key is embedded in the BIOS. when you install Windows 10 Home , it's automatically activated once you connect to Internet

bye

@PeterRamsey

HP has no records of individual product keys for individual PCs.

But, if as you have indicated, you have Enterprise version, there is no way for YOU to activate it, at that requires activation by the company that supplied it to you.  Any other form of activation, using a locally installed KMS, is piracy and we do not support that.
