Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a HP laptop with 64-bit Windows 7; I would like to replace the OS with 32-bit Windows 7 Pro.

Any ideas as how I can do this cheaply?

Thanks for reading this, and for any help you have ever given to another.

Hello,

Welcome !

Just my 0.02$ - this is absolutely not needed, I cannot think of any valid reason. This is like you won a Ferrari from the lottery but you want to change it for Trabant.

If you have a license and key for Windows 7, Microsoft do not care if you run x86 (32bit) or x64 (64bit) Windows, so this is free of charge (cheap). Microsoft only care about your edition (like Home Basic, Home, Pro, Ultimate) and different editions require different keys/licenses.

Moreover, it is not possible to quickly change between x86 and x64 versions (and vice versa) of Windows - complete OS reinstallation is needed to achieve this.

Note !! Windows 7 is out of support by its vendor Microsoft -> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-7-support-ended-on-january-14-2020-b75d4580-2cc7...

It has reached its end of life date. Newer updates are no longer released for the mass public, products are not supported, newer technologies are not released there. There are lots of 3rd party software (including security applications) which do not run any more on Windows 7. Running an operating system which is EOL could be risky from security perspective or might cause you difficulties. It's recommended you consider Windows 10.
