Support assitant is a HUGE pain to TURN OFF! You tell it not to load and it loads. I am going to delete it! Piece of junk!

Open Hp Support Assistant. Click on "Settinhgs" in the upper right hand corner (Gear Icon)

Scroll down to "Choose How You Would Like To Be Notified".

Untick the box beside; "Display an icon in your taskbar"
