Hi,
I recently encountered some issues with my disk containing the recovery partition. So, I ordered a new disk. Next, I want to transfer my recovery partition from the old drive to the new one or another SSD I already have on my laptop. How do I do it? I also have a recovery media I created using the Recovery Manager if that is any help.

Hi:
You can't transfer the recovery partition from one drive to another.
It would be a waste of time, effort and disk space, because you also need the recovery manager software which is used to make the recovery partition work.
If you use recovery media that you created, that may recreate the recovery partition if you use that to reinstall W10.

Definitely, I will be using the media I created to restore my laptop. So, how do I recreate the recovery partition?
Also, I ordered a WD m.2 2280 1TB SSD to replace my 128gb m.2 2280 SSD that came preinstalled from HP. Would the WD SSD be compatible with my laptop? My laptop is HP Envy 17t-bw000.

You can't.
The only way it will happen is if the recovery media you created also creates the recovery partition as part of the recovery process.
On some models the recovery media does, and on some it doesn't.
In any event, according to the driver page for your model, your PC is supported by the HP cloud recovery client utility where you can make a bootable USB recovery drive to reinstall the original software configuration. It would work just like the recovery partition, the only difference is you have to boot from it.

As far as I'm concerned, that frees up several gigabytes of drive space you can use for something else.
Looking at the service manual (chapter 1) it appears that your PC uses the NVMe-type M.2 SSD's, so if that is what you ordered, then it should work just fine.

I see. I will try the solution once I replace the SSD. Also, to use the cloud recovery tool, I will have to use my HP laptop, right?
Also, the following is the link to the SSD I have ordered, which I forgot to put in the previous post.

Thank you for till now. I will get back once I replace my SSD.

You're very welcome.
No you can use any PC with W7 or newer on it.
You would just have to manually enter the product info.
If you use it on the PC you want it for, it will automatically detect the model and skip that part of the ID process.

So, I installed the aforementioned new SSD I bought. When I tried to install Windows using the media recovery tool I created, the restoration failed. The failure message was- "FAILED to create ESP/MSR" and return code [-2147024809]. How do I tackle this?
Does your suggested method of using HP cloud recovery tool allow to create image even if I have already created a recovery media?
Would using the HP cloud recovery tool created image help to install Windows on my new SSD, unlike the recovery media?
Should I choose Factory reset or System restore on my new SSD? Does Factory reset affect the data on the secondary drive (the one without Windows), so that I can back up into my external drive?
When I searched on the WD community portal, they said internal SSDs do not ship preformatted. So maybe after formatting it correctly, Windows installation might succeed. So, how do I format the SSD to use it?
Note: The SSD is the Windows Partition on my laptop.

Here is what I recommend...and if after doing this the cloud recovery software still doesn't work, you can use the installation media to clean install W10.
Make a bootable USB installer using the media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Boot from it, and when you get to the screen that asks 'Where do you want to install Windows, delete all partitions on the drive (if more than one exists), leaving just one partition of unallocated space, and then format the partition.
Once that is done, you can cancel out of the installation, shut down the PC, and try the cloud recovery tool again.

Gotcha!
Give me some time to work on that. Meanwhile, I edited my previous reply, not knowing that you already replied to it. I added a few questions if you could answer them for me.
I will get back with some updates.

Hi:
If you didn't use the cloud recovery client utility, I would try that because it should automatically prepare the disk for installation.
I would back up any files you don't want to lose now, because a factory reset may well erase everything.
