How can I open the advanced settings in the BIOS?
I've tried different keyboard settings, but to no avail.
I have an Intel HP Optane H10 hard drive installed in my laptop. The BIOS reset itself, and now I can no longer access my data on the hard drive.
But I need to make some adjustments in the BIOS to be able to read the hard drive again. How can HP disable this?
I can't understand this. Then HP can just give me a new hard drive.

When someone use a Intel Optane H10 Harddisk - It is necessary to set certain settings in the bios.
If the BIOS has been reset, you'll obviously have to reset the settings. Without this, you won't be able to access your data.

Hi @5CD1390M9L,

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand your HP laptop with an Intel Optane H10 hard drive has had its BIOS reset, and now you cannot access your data. You need to open advanced BIOS settings to adjust configurations so the hard drive is recognized. Let’s go through the steps:

Access the BIOS/UEFI

Turn off your laptop completely.

Turn it back on and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly (or F10 on some models) until the BIOS/Startup menu appears.

Select BIOS Setup or System Setup from the menu.

Enable Advanced Options

Some HP laptops hide advanced options by default.

Press F10 to enter BIOS, then try Ctrl + F10 or Fn + F10 in some models to unlock hidden advanced settings (depends on BIOS version).

If your BIOS does not allow this, advanced features may be intentionally restricted by HP for system stability, particularly on Optane-enabled laptops.

Check Storage/Optane Settings

In BIOS, navigate to Storage Options or System Configuration.

Ensure Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) or Optane Memory is enabled.

Set the SATA mode to RAID if Optane is used (changing it to AHCI can make the drive inaccessible).

Restore or Apply Correct Settings

If you have a backup of the previous BIOS configuration, restore it.

Otherwise, carefully apply the recommended settings for Intel Optane H10, usually:

Optane Memory: Enabled

RAID: Enabled

Secure Boot: Disabled (if necessary)

Save and Exit BIOS

Press F10 to save changes and restart.

Your system should now recognize the Optane H10 drive and allow access to your data.

I hope this helps.
