Saw HP Preformance Tune Up check and as my laptop had been quite slow I selected to proceed and selected system file checker. I got a warning that it may take 30 minutes to run, however it has been 2.5 hours now and stuck at 58% for at least last 1.5 hours.
Is this normal, as I cannot close it down, it says once started it cannot be cancelled.
Thanks

Hello @Paulatharris65
Welcome to the HP Support Communities.
Indeed, it can be cancelled, just close the CMD window
Restart WIndows >> https://www.digitalcitizen.life/7-ways-shut-down-or-restart-windows-10-pc-or-device
Eventually, read this article >> https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-o...
- Ensure active Internet connection
- Run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth in a CMD with administrative rights. Wait for it to complete
- Run SFC.exe /scannow in a CMD with administrative rights. Wait for it to complete
Let me know how it goes
