Hi, I just got a new laptop and I was wondering how long I need to charge the battery for the first time.
I have it plugged in now, the light beside the plug in was orange now it is blue. Does that mean it is fully charged?
Also does anyone know where I can get a manual for my computer?
Thanks
Rick

You can charge it as long as you'd like to. It won't be damaged by being left plugged in. If you want to know more about newer battery technologies, you can read this document: Understanding Lithium-Ion and Smart Battery Technology
Yes, the blue light indicates that the battery is completely charged. You can find the manual for your notebook under the Support page for your notebook by using the HP Product Number (P/N) to search or if you need help you can post it here and we will locate the manual for this notebook.
