Hello.

The HDD on my laptop is nearly dead. I even can't create a backup image of it or clone the HDD. How should I change the HDD properly in order not to lose the Windows licence (ideally I would like to find the original HP disk image) - just install the new one, then install Windows and it will be automatically activated with the built in key?

Your machine runs Windows 10, the Woindows license is embedded in BIOS of your machine very hard to lose unless the motherboard is totally damage which ever way.

Regards.

I know it, just wanted to be completely shure. Besides, the ideal variaint is to restore the same HDD layout (with boot and recovery patitions) as a factory one - is it possible to do?
